Frequently Asked Questions
Anyone who is paid to disturb lead-based paint while renovating, repairing, or painting homes, child care facilities, or schools built before 1978 must be EPA RRP certified.
Please bring a valid photo ID. All training materials, including your curriculum guide and manual, are provided in class.
EPA RRP certification is valid for 5 years from the date you complete this course, after which a refresher course is required.
Yes. Students who successfully complete the one-day course receive their Certificate of Completion the same day.
You'll learn the EPA RRP rule requirements, lead-safe work practices, containment and cleaning procedures, cleaning verification, and recordkeeping.
Lunch is not provided, but a short break is scheduled and most training locations are near nearby restaurants.
